RT Foods, Inc. was founded in 1993 with the idea to produce, import and distribute authentic handmade Japanese tempura and breaded shrimp for foodservice and retail markets. In doing so we created a new category in frozen foods... handmade, “True Restaurant Quality” frozen seafood. In 1997 the TigerThai® brand was created for the retail channel and is the best selling brand in the tempura category.

Our vision was to provide consumers and restaurants an alternative to low price, low quality machine made, frozen seafood. We have experienced rapid growth since then and the company continues to bring creative products and packaging concepts to the marketplace. We were the first, and still the only company to package sauce with every TigerThai® product. We were also the first to pack our premium shrimp, veggies and fish in either protective trays or re-sealable bags.

All of our TigerThai® products are manufactured and packed in Thailand in our state of the art manufacturing facility.
